In 1898, His Majesty King Chulalongkorn commanded the establishment of the Royal Thai Naval Academy.Inttially ,the Royal Yacht "Maha-Chakri" sered as accommodation and classrooms. Later,in 1906,the Academy was moved to the former Thonburi Palace.His Majesty King Chulalongkorn officially inaugurated the Royal Thai Naval Academy and wrote in the guest book









"On Nevember 20,1906,We,Chulalongkorn,have come to inaugurate this Academy We are profoundly pleased to see that the Navy has its foundation established. It will constitute a firm base henceforth."
